Before the merger with Virtual Instruments, Philippe was the CEO of Load DynamiX for nearly 4 years. Philippe brings over 22 years of experience in technology industries. Philippe held senior executive positions with BigFix, IBM and Accenture. During his tenure at BigFix, he led several business functions and drove strategy and operations across the company. He helped drive BigFix to a leadership position in the Systems and Security Management markets, and a successful sale to IBM in 2010. At IBM, Philippe helped lead the integration of BigFix into the Tivoli business unit. Before BigFix, he was a Partner with Accenture’s High Tech strategy practice, and a leader of its Software practice. Philippe began his career with engineering positions at Alcatel and PSA Peugeot Citroen. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and Diplome d’Ingenieur from ENSAM (France).
Focused on strategic growth and operational efficiency, Ray Villeneuve brings general management experience from several leading public and private companies. Prior to Virtual Instruments, Ray was CEO at venture funded companies Skytree (enterprise class machine learning), MonoSphere (predictive analytics for enterprise IT infrastructure), and Liaise (natural language processing based workflow management). Ray was GM/VP at Riverbed responsible for the cloud storage business unit as well as overall company strategy and corporate development. Previously, Ray was VP Worldwide Marketing at leading storage companies NetApp and Auspex. Ray earned an MBA from the Fox Business School at Temple University and a BSME from the University of Michigan.
Kevin O’Donnell heads up the company’s financial, administration, and human resources departments. Kevin brings more than 25 years of executive experience in finance and corporate strategy. Prior to the merger, Kevin was the CFO at Load DynamiX, joining the company in 2013. Before Load DynamiX, he held CFO positions at PanTerra Networks, Cassatt Corporation, and ViewCentral (part of Rainmaker Systems). Kevin holds a BA in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago, IL, and MBA from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
Warren Bell brings over 25 years of global enterprise and start-up sales leadership experience to Virtual Instruments. Before the merger, Warren ran worldwide sales at Load DynamiX for over 5 years. Before Load DynamiX, he served as vice president of worldwide sales and support at Cenzic, Inc. During his tenure he helped establish the company into the category leader in Web Application Security Software. Previously, Warren held sales leadership positions at Visionael, Collation (acquired by IBM), CenterRun (acquired by Sun Microsystems), and BackWeb Technologies (successful IPO).
As CTO, John is responsible for being the voice of the customer and understanding the key IT infrastructure industry trends that affect product strategy and strategic alliances. John has been a leader within Virtual Instruments since 2009, leading the global system engineering organization and leading the marketing team from mid-2012 until the merger with Load DynamiX. John brings nearly 20 years of IT industry experience and has held a number of senior level sales, sales engineering and product marketing positions at industry leaders such as Qlogic, Borland, McData, and CNT. John was a double major in Economics and Sociology at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Bringing 30 years of marketing leadership at both leading public and privately held IT infrastructure companies, Len Rosenthal returns to Virtual Instruments as CMO after running marketing at Load DynamiX since July 2013. He is responsible for corporate, channel, and product marketing, including demand generation and overall awareness. Prior to Load DynamiX, he held executive marketing positions at Astute Networks, Virtual Instruments, Panasas and PathScale (acquired by QLogic) and held senior marketing management roles at Inktomi, SGI, and HP. Len earned an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas Business School, a BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics from Penn’s Wharton Business School.
Lisa joined Virtual Instruments in September 2016 and leads the worldwide engineering, support and QA teams. She brings over 25 years of engineering management and software development experience to the company. Prior to joining, Lisa was the Senior Director of Engineering at Brocade where she led the OpenStack, OpenDaylight and Software Define Networking development teams. She was VP of Engineering at software defined networking pioneer Vyatta, which was acquired by Brocade in 2012. She was also the Senior Director of NAS Engineering at NetApp and held senior engineering leadership positions at Tesla, Netillion, Sun Microsystems, Sequent Computer Systems and Vodafone. She earned her BS degree at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
Bo Barker, a 22 year industry veteran, brings a wealth of experience building and implementing technology solutions to Virtual Instruments. His broad experience from software development to infrastructure lifecycle management creates unique benefits for information technologists across both public and private companies. Most recently, Bo was Area Technology Consulting Director of EMC Global Services, running Global and Enterprise technology and engineering teams. During his 9 years at EMC, Bo also directed North American service operations for the Telecommunications vertical and ran the teams responsible for managing total customer experience and satisfaction programs. Prior to EMC, Bo was a part of product management working to develop PeopleSoft Financial applications. His last 10 years of experience in the storage, SAN, software development and other large scale technology operations will help customers quickly realize the benefits of Virtual Instrument’s solutions. Bo has a Master’s and Bachelors’ Degree’s in Public Administration from California State Universities Hayward and Chico.
With over 22 years in the IT industry, Tim leads Product Development and Product Management for Virtual Instruments. Prior to the merger, he held a similar position at Load DynamiX since 2014. Tim has held executive positions at CA, Nimsoft, HP & Mercury Interactive focused on addressing the challenges of IT operations. Most recently Tim was Vice President of Product Management for CA Technologies’ Application Performance Management portfolio. During his time at CA, Tim held strategic roles in Big Data Analytics and led the transformation of Nimsoft into a complete management suite encompassing data center monitoring and service management. Prior to CA, Tim led HP Software’s SaaS products group.
